Also beispielsweise https://wepublish.ch/de/das-projekt/
Block Styles provide a way to customize the appearance of content blocks, such as teasers or briefings, by applying predefined styles. These styles are created based on specific design requirements and can significantly alter how a block appears on your page or article.
To add a block style:
Navigate to the "Content Blocks" section within the editor's menu.
Select "Block Styling" to access the customization options available for different types of content blocks.
Here, you can define a new block style and specify which type of block it should be associated with. For instance, you might create a style specifically for a 6-column teaser layout.
Once you've defined your block styles, applying them to your content is straightforward:
Open the page or article editor where you wish to add styled content.
As you define a block or teaser, look for an icon or option on the right side of the block/teaser definition. This will bring up a list of available block styles.
The list will only show block styles that are compatible with the type of block you're working on. For example, if you're setting up a 6-column teaser, only block styles designated for use with 6-column teasers will be shown.
Select the desired style from the list to apply it to your block.
This process ensures that each content block not only meets the specific design criteria set forth by Bajour but also maintains consistency across your digital presence.Navigation Links Customization
The CMS also supports the customization of navigation links, allowing you to tailor the header and menu links to your preferences.
Header Links: Located between the hamburger menu and the logo, these should be added under Navigations with the "header" key. It's recommended to use up to 2 links for optimal visual balance and user experience.
Main Menu Links: These are the prominent links displayed when the menu is expanded. To add these, use the "main" key under Navigations. They're ideal for directing users to major sections or featured content on your site.
The linkUrl setting of the image block can be used to turn an image into a link. If it is set, the image can be clicked and leads the visitors to the corresponding website. The website opens in a new tab. This is useful for images that are used as advertisements and should lead to the advertising entity.
Our CMS has been enhanced with custom blocks specifically implemented for Bajour, based on precise design specifications. These blocks allow for a variety of content presentations, from archives to briefings, ensuring your content is displayed engagingly and informatively.
The following custom blocks are available:
BestOfWePublish: Showcases peer teasers in a 6-column layout. Ideal for highlighting top content across the WePublish network.
BajourArchive: A 6-column block designed to display archived content, making historical articles easily accessible.
BaselBriefing, FCBBriefing, FasnachtsBriefing: These blocks are presented in a 1-column layout, perfect for detailed briefings on specific topics. By default, these blocks are displayed from 6 am to 11 am. This can be altered by adding parameters in the editor with the following properties:
showFrom (e.g. schowFrom | 08:00)
showUntil (e.g. showUntil | 15:00)
scheduledDate (e.g. scheduledDate | 2024-05-08)
ContextBox: This versatile box can be used to provide context or additional information within articles.
As part of our continuous efforts to provide Bajour publishers with tools that empower creativity and enhance the presentation of content, we've introduced a feature that allows for the application of custom styles to various content blocks within the CMS. This feature, known as "Block Styling," is designed to ensure that each piece of content not only aligns with Bajour's unique aesthetic but also engages readers more effectively.
The "Frage Des Tages" feature functions similarly to our current poll implementation. Here’s how you can utilize it:
Setting Up a Poll: Create your Poll by defining the question, adding possible answers, and specifying the active dates. Optionally, you can integrate external votes (e.g., from Facebook) and enrich the poll with additional details using Rich Text.
Displaying on the Website: To feature the "Frage Des Tages" on your website, start by creating a new article and tagging it with frage-des-tages
. Within the article, insert a PollBlock
and select the desired Poll.
Creating a Homepage Widget: To display a "Frage Des Tages" widget on the homepage or any other page:
Define a new Block Style
named FrageDesTages
and set TeaserList
as an assignable element.
On the target page, create a TeaserList
, apply the FrageDesTages
Block Style, and configure the following settings:
Teaser Type: Article
How many teasers should be skipped: 0
How many teasers should be loaded: 1
Which tags should be loaded: frage-des-tages
After configuration, the widget will appear on the designated page.
Additional Functionalities
Commenting Flow: Users can engage with the Poll by posting comments, which enhances interactive discussions.
Rating System and Flow: Each Poll allows user ratings, contributing to a dynamic feedback system.
Highlighting Top Comments: The system automatically highlights top comments to draw attention to popular insights and opinions.
Author Box and InfoBox: Both features are incorporated below each Poll to provide context about the Poll creator and additional topic information.
User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX): The design and interaction model closely mirror those of previous implementations to ensure a seamless user experience and maintain design consistency.
Links within the source field: Are automatically treated as clickable links in the front-end.
Manually move a comment to the top: Select the featured check-box.
By following these guidelines, you can effectively implement and display the "Frage Des Tages" feature, enriching your site’s interactive content and user engagement.
