Banners can be used to display a temporary message for all visitors of the published page. Currently, they are mostly used to show a reminder of a current subscription sale or to show information about a special event.
Banners can contain "actions", which are buttons leading to other articles, pages or external websites.
The different settings that can be configured are listed below:
Title
Large heading of the banner
Text
Text content
CTA
Short (50 characters) call to action

Active
Whether the banner should be shown on the website. Only one banner can be active at a time. If multiple banners are activated in the editor, only the first is shown.
Action Label
The label shown on the button
Action URL
Link target of the button. The URL opens in the same tab.
Action Style
(Currently unused) class added to the button. This can in the future be used for styling the buttons individually.
Action Role
See below
By default, banners are displayed in their maximized state. Most information configured in the editor is shown in that state. When the visitors close or hide the banner, it transitions into the minimized state, and only the most important information is shown.

The buttons can have different roles that affect when and how the buttons are displayed.
A primary button is used to display the primary action of the button, like to buy a new subscription. It is displayed in both the maximized and minimized state and styled according to the primary button style of the theme.
Buttons with type other can be used to display secondary actions. They are displayed in a less prominent way than the primary buttons, and are hidden in the minimized state.
The cancel button can be displayed to give visitors a second way to close the button (instead of the × button). It is only displayed in the maximized state.
